Engine Update - February 26, 2009

I picked up the engine from Mike Kennedy's shop (Race Engine Development in Trinity, NC) last Saturday and was fortunate enough to see it on the dyno. It sounds great and Mike was very pleased with its performance! It just made me more anxious for racing season to begin.

On Sunday, we took Tweet Revenge to z-Max Raceway to have its chassis certified by Andy Hambright from NHRA. Tony Brown has been very helpful in arranging for Andy to certify the PTRA cars so thanks to Tony. Too bad it had to be on one of the coldest, windiest days of the year! Tweet passed with no problem so we crossed that hurdle.

Monday night my friends Little Man and Jason Richards came over to help me put the engine back in the car. We pretty much just set it in there and tightened a few bolts just to get it ready to take to Teddy Houser's shop to have new headers built. I'll be taking it in next week sometime.
