I took Tweet Revenge to Greg Bentley Fabrication in Lenoir, NC to have new headers made. The old headers were really not tuned for my application and they were especially low for the car, creating constant clearance problems when loading and unloading the car from the trailer. I asked Greg to route the headers out the fenders and I think he did a great job. This week I will be taking the headers to Calico Coatings in Denver, NC to be coated in Kool Chrome. I think it will look good. I'll post pictures later.
I will not be racing for a while because I'm having a total knee replacement of my right knee on May 1st. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Thomas H. McCoy of OrthoCarolina in Charlotte. I will be rehabilitating my knee at Sports Plus in Belmont and once I'm released from there, I'll continue working with trainers at Armstrong Athletic Club in Gastonia. I hate that I will be sidelined for a few months but hopefully this surgery will improve my "driving" knee. Maybe it will even make me drive faster!
